Our Pastor
Pastor Jimmy was born and raised an hour east of Atlanta, Georgia. After living a rough life of drugs, alcohol, bars and jail, he was saved at the age of 26. Shortly afterwards he felt the call into the ministry. He met his wife Sharon in church. While dating, Jimmy attended a small Bible College. Sharon graduated from Bob Jones University in 1993 with a degree in Home Economics. While on a missions trip in Trinidad, Jimmy proposed to Sharon in front of 16 other people. She said, yes. They married in November of 1996, later moved to North Carolina for Jimmy to attend Ambassador Baptist College. He graduated with honors in 2003 with a bachelor degree in Missions. All 3 of their children were born while attending Bible College. Less than 2 years after graduation, Jimmy and his family moved to Mexico where they served for 7 years planting churches. They then moved to Tucson, where they started Oasis Baptist Church. Since the beginning of their ministry, there has been many wonderful things happening in individual lives, marriages and families. We've lost count on the number of men, women, boys and girls that have been saved and baptized. Many have found freedom from addictions. Many marriages have been restored. Parents are taught how to biblically raise their children. The results are godly men and women with a new life of peace and happiness, living a life for Christ.
